Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Snakes Untangled ("the game") handles on the web at silvertonian.com and in the Android app, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by Silvertonian, Israel ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

1. Information stored on your device
Your progress, points, collected snakes, boosters and settings are saved on your device: in your browser's local storage on the web, or in the app's storage on Android. This storage is needed for the game to work, and we do not receive it. Clearing your browser data, deleting the app or using Settings → Reset progress removes it. On Android, if you have turned on device backup, Android may include this saved progress in your own Google account backup so it can be restored on a new phone; we cannot see that backup. We do not set cookies of our own.
2. Website hosting and content delivery
When you open the game on silvertonian.com, our web host, Cloudflare, records standard server logs such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, which we use only to run and protect the site and keep only for the limited period set by our host. The game loads its fonts from Google Fonts and its 3D graphics library from Cloudflare's cdnjs service, so your browser sends your IP address to those services. 3. Advertising
The game is free and may show ads: optional rewarded ads that give you points, and short breaks between levels. On the web, ads come from Google AdSense (H5 Games Ads); on Android, from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may use cookies or your device's advertising ID, your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device information and how you interact with ads.
- Consent. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown. You can change it any time under Settings → Privacy choices.
- US states. Where state privacy laws apply, you can opt out of ad personalisation under Settings → Privacy choices.
- Device settings. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

Buying "Remove ads" turns off break ads. Rewarded ads stay optional.
4. Purchases
On Android, purchases are handled by Google Play. Google processes your payment details; we receive only a purchase confirmation needed to deliver what you bought. Purchases are not currently offered in the web version. If we add them, we will name the payment provider here first.
5. Analytics
We do not currently use analytics or crash-reporting services. If we add one, we will update this policy before it goes live.
6. Why we use information
To run the game and deliver purchases (performance of our agreement with you), to run and secure the website (our legitimate interest), to show ads (your consent where the law requires it, otherwise our legitimate interest in funding a free game) and to meet legal obligations.
7. Age requirement
Snakes Untangled is for players aged 18 and over. When you first open the game, it asks for your year of birth and keeps only the result (old enough or not) on your device; the year itself is not stored or sent anywhere. The game is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the providers named in this policy, when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
9. How long we keep information
Game data stays on your device until you delete it. Server logs are kept only for the limited period set by our web host. Google keeps advertising and payment data under its own policies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU and UK (GDPR), Israel (Protection of Privacy Law) and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
12. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or app is completely secure.
13. Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
